Sustaining the fields…with help from the community!

Sol Harvest Farm has been blessed recently with the help of many volunteers. We want to take a moment here to recognize them…

**We are so grateful for the support of UNM’s Sustainability Studies program led by Bruce Milne and Jessica Rowland. Their team came out and helped in the heat of the day on June 6th to build pathways and clear beds for more summer planting. They closed the evening with a delicious dinner at our partner restaurant, Farm & Table. Not a bad day! See the group here under the Farm Stand.

**That same week, we were thrilled to have our nephew Brendan McGuire join us from Chicago for the first official Farm Camp at Sol Harvest Farm. Brendan was a great help on the farm and learned a lot about hula hoes and the New Mexican sun. Don’t worry, we took him canoeing on the Rio Grande too so he could see some water.

**During our SOLstice Celebration last week, we had a lovely yoga class followed by a community harvest. Thank you to all who joined us including our friend Lisa Donald and baby Pearl. Many hands do help!
